Street Photography at Night - Southampton Guildhall Square at 7pm
Our cities can take on a different narrative at night, so we’ll be learning all about how to take interesting night scenes, from city lights to people. Join us to get creative with low light photography and motion blur light painting.
£12pp
Each two hour class will focus on one theme or particular aspect of photography, in a different location each fortnight. A professional photographer will also be there to help answer questions and offer advice on the day. Groups larger than 12 will have multiple instructors.

The minimum age requirement is 10 years old; children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult, who will need to make a separate booking.

A DSLR camera, or a camera with manual controls is preferable, but you are welcome to bring bring any kind of camera or smartphone. There will be a substantial amount of walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella should the weather call for it.

Your experience doesn’t stop once the class ends - you can also share your photos with your peers in the Southampton Photography Facebook Group and enter our fortnightly themed competitions to have chances to win great photography prizes.

This was the 1st event my wife & I attended, not being a big fan of the subject but we thought we would give it a go & not sure what to expect, being beginners we are limited in equipment & exsperance but being able to watch how other photographers approach a task was a plus. I'am planning on doing more of these events. I think we could learn a lot by doing more of these avents

Really enjoyed this event! Great to have a varied mix of ability in the group as it prompts help amongst the individuals. Victoria is very patient & has a good way of explaining things that aren't overly complicated. Very enjoyable

Great choice of location(s) and good to gout out with a planned theme. Having a specific challenge also makes you look at things differently. My first time and I will certainly look at coming again.
